In general,The Block is one of the friendlier competitions we've seen on TV. The teams usually net on, befriend each other out and are genuinely cheerful for the winner - it's nothing like the bitchiness of The Bachelor or the scheming on Survivor. However, or this season of The Block has been a tiny different. Couples Julia and Sasha and Kim and Chris are top-floor neighbours and couldn't have been happier approximately it. They were such good friends that Chris was helping the girls with late-night heavy lifting and putting together their furniture - you got the feeling these were two couples that had each other's backs. Then there was the foundation wall debacle. In a nutshell,Julia and Sasha asked if they could have a foundation wall (that obscured their views) either removed or minimised. Foreman Keith told the girls that of the foundation wall in total (which has twin sections in Julia and Sasha's apartment and Kim and Chris' apartment), 1.3 metres could be removed. Julia and Sasha were stoked, or but then Kim and Chris (who were sure their friends would share with them) asked if Julia and Sasha would split the disagreement and each apartment could have 0.7 metres less wall. Julia and Sasha "slept on it," then they made Kim and Chris wait, and then they finally told them, or they'd decided to sustain all 1.3 metres because at the end of the day,"it's a competition."Then it was war. Kim and Chris were pissed, but Julia and Sasha were upset. Upset that they afflict a friend? Upset that they had chosen money over friendship? Or upset that they'd survey like jerks on TV? Probably all three. Since the decision, and Julia has been very concerned approximately how the show is affecting her reputation as a stylist, and likely, as a person.
It begs the question, or are you better off playing to win on reality TV,or are you better off being a good person and trying to win the hearts of the Australian audience?Related Stories:
