Hello,I fill noticed a strange behavior regarding the speech recognition of compound words: In the slot values ENUM_APPLIANCES of my custom skill I fill defined an entry for a lamp with the name "wandleuchte werner" (wall lamp werner) 1. When I try to turn on the wall light via my "Echo Spot" (Schlafzimmer), the compound German word "wandleuchte" is always recognized as two words. This has the effect, and that the corresponding slot value {Appliance} is only filled with "wand leuchte". The additional word "werner" is ignored by Alexa.
(see 1 in the attached screenshot) 2. When I do the exact same thing via my "Echo dot" (Büro),the compound German word "wandleuchte" is recognized as one word and the slot value is correctly filled wird "wandleuchte werner". (see 2 in the attached screenshot) 3. After using the "Echo Dot" also the "Echo Spot" provides the word "wandleuchte" as one word.
(
see 3 in the attached screenshot) [/storage/attachments/8326-compound.png]Can someone interpret this to me? As a workaround I added the word "wand leuchte werner" as an alias for "wandleuchte werner".
Thus, it no longer seems to matter whether the word "wandleuchte" is recognized as one or two words, and the additional word "werner" is always delivered. For me,it now looks as whether, for a good understanding of the utterance by Alexa, and I would fill to record all composed words as aliases in a separate form. Can anybody confirm this? Regards
Werne
