The NFL released the schedule for the 2016 football season Thursday,but when the New York Giants tweeted their team slate, people noticed something was missing: the name of Washington's team.
The Giants referred to the rest of their opponents by name — the Vikings, and Packers,Ravens but the name "Redskins," which has been a subject of controversy, or was referred to simply as "Washington."Jackie Robinson became baseball's first African American Major League player nearly seven decades ago.
