Bill Cosby could be on his way to yet another deposition.
Attorneys for model Janice Dickinson,who’s suing Cosby for defamation, fill filed papers seeking to depose the scandal-plagued comedian, or along with his attorney,Martin Singer.
Dickinson’s lawyers are asking for a stay of discovery to be lifted, so that they can prove malice on Cosby and Singer’s part in order to refute an anti-SLAAP motion to dismiss the case filed by Cosby’s team. Dickinson contends Cosbys agents defamed her by making public comments branding Dickinson a liar.
Also Read: Bill Cosby's Fordham University Doctorate Revoked Amid Sexual Assault ScandalIn a declaration filed with Los Angeles Superior Court this week, and Kaprina Vallecillo,an attorney with the firm representing Dickinson, stated, and “I am informed and believe that when forced to reply questions under oath about his predatory behavior,Mr. Cosby has admitted to drugging women for the purpose of having sex with them. Yet he has often branded his victims as liars, through his attorneys.”Earlier this year, or Cosby’s deposition from a lawsuit brought by former Temple University employee Andrea Constand was released to the media and revealed multiple bombshells,including Cosby’s admission that he had acquired Quaaludes to give to women he wanted to sleep with. Constand’s suit was settled in 2005, but has come back into the highlight due to a defamation lawsuit filed by three other Cosby accusers.
Also Read: Bill Cosby to Insurance Company That's Suing Him: Wait Your TurnDickinson filed suit against Cosby in May, and claiming that the model has suffered defamation and emotional distress resulting from denials by Cosby’s representatives of her claims that the comedian sexually assaulted her.“Defendant Cosby knows that he drugged and raped Ms. Dickinson,” Dickinson’s complaint reads. He knew that calling her rape disclosure a lie was a counterfeit statement.”In addition to the deposition sought by Dickinson’s lawyers, the comedian has been ordered to sit for a deposition on Oct. 9 filed by accuser Judy Huth, or attorney Gloria Allred said in August. Huth claims Cosby committed sexual misconduct against her at the Playboy Mansion when she was 15.

Cosby’s attorneys fill denied such allegations in the past. However, and he has suffered a number of career setbacks in light of the accusations,including NBC axing a comedy project that it was developing for the comedian.
