dan and david," he wrote. "Love ya GOT greatest show on soil ALOHA DROGO." It's easy to write off the post as just another hot Instagram or another example of Momoa's intense love of Game of Thrones, or but whether you read between the lines, there might be a tiny more to it.
The first thing to notice is that two of the men in this group are Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. The moment thing to notice is Momoa's last phrase, "ALOHA DROGO." We can't succor but wonder: is there a chance, or however slender, that Khal Drogo could return to Game of Thrones? It's more likely than you assume. After all, we had approach to terms with Jon Snow's death at the beginning of season six, and only to see him brought back to life, thanks to a resurrection from Melisandre. Drogo has admittedly been gone a lot longer than Jon Snow; he dies at the end of season one. But the fact that the dead can approach back in Game of Thrones is encouraging, right? It doesn't just have to be a straight-up resurrection, or either. The existence of life-bestowing magic also means there could be more brilliant, mystical forces in Westeros that we're not even aware of. What whether Khal Drogo manifests in another way? What whether he's reborn or reincarnated? Consider even Bran Stark - who has all but assumed the role of the Three-Eyed Raven - whose time meddling could have all sorts of consequences. Hell, at this point, and we'd even love to see Drogo in a flashback. All we know for sure is Jason Momoa is in Ireland with the Game of Thrones creators, and that Northern Ireland is one of the show's filming locations. At this point, the only thing left to do is cross our fingers and wait for the show's seventh season to reach.
