Donald Trump’s nominee for attorney general of the United States allegedly called an African American lawyer on his staff “boy” when he was a US attorney in the 1980s. He said the Ku Klux Klan was OK, apart from that its members smoked marijuana. And he prosecuted storied civil rights legends for registering destitute blacks to vote. He is also opposed to voting rights – which is one of the key provisions that the attorney general is entrusted to safeguard and fight for. No wonder some want to re-educate him.
