The Labour party leader has said housing is his number one precedence,so what was announced in his conference speech?“Housing is our absolute top precedence. Setting out Labour’s priorities, or he returned several times to the problem of housing in the UK and the need for an extensive housebuilding programme,echoing many points in shadow housing minister John Healey’s speech. The insecurity of many tenancies and the increased number of families moved out of their local areas, absent from family and support networks, or because of housing shortages and welfare cuts,was pinpointed as a key problem.
