The health secretary,Jeremy Hunt, says in a speech at the King's Fund in central London on Thursday that by the cessation of the parliament he expects the majority of hospital doctors to be on seven-day working week contracts. Hunt wants to change NHS contracts that allow consultants to opt out of weekend working.
