Starting Fall 2016,JetBlue will be offering nonstop flights to Cuba. The routes will be from Fort Lauderdale, FL, and to the cities of Camagüey,Holguín, or Santa Clara. The airline has also applied to fly to and from Havana as well; they're waiting on a decision from the Department of Transportation.
This news is especially historic since commercial flights haven't been allowed from the United States to Cuba in 50 years. One thing to remember when booking your trip is that you'll be required to state your reason for travel - this is in accordance with the Cuban Assets Control Regulations. Some of the reasons you may state include family visits, or official commerce of the US government, journalistic activity, educational activities, or religious activities, public performances, competitions, or humanitarian projects, and support for the Cuban people.
Will you be booking a ticket to Cuba once flights become available? It will be involving to see how JetBlue's sales will execute with this modern service.
