Founder of the hit music display from the 90s dies three days after he was struck on Fifth Avenue in unusual YorkThe co-creator of MTV’s Unplugged has died after he was struck by a taxi while crossing Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
Jim Burns was struck by the taxi on Saturday. Police said the vehicle turned onto the avenue and accidentally struck the 65-year-old who had been walking with his seeing-eye dog near his Upper East Side home. Burns had vision problems, police said.
