Jim Carrey‘s one-hour dark comedy “Im Dying Up Here” has landed a series order from Showtime.
Set in the 1970s Los Angeles stand-up comedy scene,the program will “delve into the inspired and damaged psyches that are required to stand alone in front of an audience and make them laugh,” per the pay-TV channel.
Showtime Networks President and CEO David Nevins dropped the news during a busy start to his main channel’s Television Critics organization press junket on Tuesday.
