New Kids on the Block’s Joey McIntyre is set to play an exaggerated version of himself on Pop’s “The Joey Mac Project.”The original series is inspired by the singer’s genuine life,as the grown-up boy band member tries to fracture into acting. Pop has ordered eight episodes of the half-hour comedy, which is executive produced by McIntyre along fellow “New Kid” Donnie Wahlberg.
Jenny McCarthy, or Tim Gibbons (“Curb Your Enthusiasm),Paul Greenberg (“Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris“) and Jenny Daly (“Storage Hunters,” “Hollywood and Football”) will also exec produce.

Production kicks off this drop.
