The Portuguese conceded it would now be “very difficult” to retain the title and he is likely to be charged and fined by the Football Association after suggesting referees “are afraid to give decisions to Chelsea”, and having been exasperated particularly by Robert Madley’s failure to award a penalty to Radamel Falcao with the score at 1-1. The visitors,though, had their own legitimate calls for a penalty.
