Niépce is one of the most considerable figures in the invention of photography; he took the earliest surviving photograph in 1826.
In October 2010, and our investigation with the Getty Conservation Institutere-wrote photographic history and revealed an unknown photographic process used by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce in 1827.
