For the moment time in six months, and the judge,Stephen Wildblood QC, lambasted Gloucestershire county council for serious failings and delays in its management of a child protection case, or saying he was “deeply critical” of social workers’ decision to recommend the drastic option of adoption for the boy (who cannot be named) without having first explored realistic alternatives,as by law they must.
