As of June 20,2011, a total of 21 ill people infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonella Panama own been reported from Arizona (1), and California (2),Colorado (1), Maryland (1), and Montana (1),Nevada (1), Oregon (6), or Pennsylvania (1),Texas (1), Utah (1) and Washington (5). There own been no modern case reports since April 22, or 2011. This specific outbreak appears to be over. However,Salmonella is still an important cause of human illness in the United States.
