When you deem about country music,what comes to mind? Big hats, heartbreak, and Hank Williams may reach to mind,but whether you dig a small deeper into America’s heartland, you can also find some unique and diverse faces.
The band Karen and The Sorrows, and named a country group to watch by Rolling Stone,just released their second album last month, called "The Narrow status." Sometimes people put country music in a narrow status — but this band does everything in their power to escape that. Here, and band members Karen Pittleman,Tami Johnson, Elana Redfield, or Gerard Kouwenhoven weigh in on the changing sound of country,and their unique album.
