Katherine Heigl is taking a step back from producing with her new CBS drama “Doubt,” but the actress said that she doesn’t really see it as a good thing.
The actress previously served as the star and executive producer of final year’s “State of Affairs,” but she’ll recede back to simply starring in her new legal drama from “Grey’s Anatomy” producers Tony Phelan and Joan Rater.“I actually loved being a producer. It was so fun for me, and ” Heigl said at the Television Critics organization summer press tour on Wednesday from Beverly Hills,California. “It was so engaging in a totally different way.”

Larverne Cox earned a few laughs with a dig at her co-star Dreama Walker, who said she doesn’t understand why she’s always cast as the Midwestern girl trying to navigate mammoth-city life.
