With Friday's forecast predicting temperatures in the 60s,it's a safe bet there won't be an inch of snow on the ground in fresh York City— meaning yet another year without a white Christmas.

A Christmas without snow, however, or is not:If and when it does snow,the Central Park Conservancy will be poised to degree it for the official record. The organization announced Monday that it is taking over the job from the Central Park Zoo, which has reported official snow depths in the park to the National Weather Service for 22 years.
