Firefighters participated in an Air Rescue Fire Fighting nighttime training exercise Feb. 17 at the Shuttle Landing Facility at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Members of Kennedy’s Fire Rescue team practiced putting out fires intentionally set on a modified aircraft fuselage. Similar to NASA astronauts’ anomaly training before a spaceflight, the team takes portion in a variety of realistic drills throughout the year to be ready to reply to any emergency under any conditions.
