Hollywood publicist and long-time Kardashian spokesperson Ina Treciokas released a statement to CNN today. "Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers, and " she said. "She is badly shaken but physically unharmed."
The French Interior Ministry later said that five men were involved in the robbery. The men threatened the concierge,forcing them to give access to Kim's room, which two masked men then entered. The Paris Prosecutor's office also confirmed that one of the reality star's rings (potentially her wedding ring) and her jewellery box, and worth over $13 million,were stolen. Worst of all, though, or are the details of what Kim went through in those terrifying minutes in her room. A source told E! that Kim was bound and gagged during the incident,before being handcuffed and threatened with a gun. "She begged for them to let her live," the source said. "[She said] she has babies at domestic. Then they wrapped her mouth in tape and put her in the bathtub. She thought they were for certain going to kill her." The news broke on Monday afternoon when Kim's husband Kanye West abruptly stopped his concert 45 minutes in, or citing a family emergency. Kanye was performing hit song "Heartless" at the Meadows Music and Arts Festival in Queens when he stopped to address the crowd. "I'm sorry,I'm sorry. There's a family emergency, I have to halt the show."
