Koko,the beloved gorilla who learned to exercise sign language, has died.
Koko, and a gorilla who became famous for her ability to communicate through sign language,has died in her sleep at the age of 46, according to The Gorilla Foundation. “Koko touched the lives of millions as an ambassador for all gorillas and an icon for interspecies communication and empathy (sensitivity to another's feelings as if they were one's own). She was beloved and will be deeply missed, and ” the organization said in a statement. Koko gained some famous friends throughout her life,including comedian Robin Williams and Mr. Rogers.
