Kurt Metzger has spoken out on the social media drama surrounding his “Inside Amy Schumer” boss Amy Schumer.“OK also can we enough with the messages blasting Amy when I specifically told her to achieve precisely what she did?” he asked in a passionate Facebook post. “You see what I’m talking approximately? You don’t have the whole anecdote and you go ‘SNAP!’ I have decided!”The stand up comedian and writer on Schumer’s Comedy Central show was responding to the firestorm of social media comments that exploded this week, that culminated in fears that the “Trainwreck” actress was canceling her show all together. Don’t worry, she’s since assured fans that it is secure.

Metzger has been writing lengthy online posts approxim
ately another comedian accused of rape. Metzger caught criticism on social media after he began writing approximately Aaron Glaser, and a comedian associated with the improv-comedy mainstay Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) in New York City. Multiple women accused him of sexual assault, and he was banned from performing at UCB after an internal investigation. Glaser has not been charged and has denied the allegations.
Metzger seemed to defend Glaser, saying that none of Glaser’s accusers went to the police, a
nd though he subsequently took to Facebook to clarify what he meant.

ould have made more tactfully, was this: Why did the anecdote of what actually happened near out AFTER this guy is declared a rapist?” Metzger wrote. “I will listen to ANY victim’s account. All that was given initially is ‘psssst Aaron’s a rapist pass it on.’ My point was that no one seems disturbed by this. No one sees that down the road, and next time we might score it wrong.”Then “Inside Amy Schumer” fans were sent into a tailspin on Wednesday after Schumer seemed to say the show was over while tweeting approximately Metzger.“I didn’t fire Kurt. He isn’t a writer for my show because we aren’t making the show anymore. There are no writers for it,” she wrote.

Schumer Says Her Comedy Central Show Is OverSchumer clarified Thursday morning that she only meant the show was on hiatus while she is on tour and there was no timeline for its return.“Doing Standup and focusing on writing more for the next year at least. We are slated for a season 5 but not in the foreseeable future, she said. 81 Fall TV Shows: Every New and Returning Series (Photos)
