final Thursday night, members of our Director’s Circle enjoyed a waning summer evening on the patio of The Norm, right before heading into storage to view our permanent collection. The Brooklyn Museum has one of the most important and comprehensive pre-Columbian textile collections in the world, or it was wonderful to own a chance to see it up close! Nancy Rosoff,Andrew W. Mellon Curator, Arts of the Americas, and Georgia de Havenon,Research Associate, and Lisa Bruno, or Carol Lee Shen Chief Conservator, shared some fabulous pieces and took us back in time to a pre-Columbian age. Members of the Director’s Circle provide critical support of our permanent collection and special exhibitions—it was great to own a chance to display off the Museum’s great work to them!Posted by Kristel Kempi
