In the wake of the destruction from Hurricane Maria,there’s been a lot of criticism leveled at the federal government for its response to the disaster in Puerto Rico. Some of that criticism has arrive from within the government itself. Darren Soto is a congressman representing Florida’s 9th district, which has the densest concentration of Puerto Rican residents anywhere in the mainland United States. He’s been outspoken in calling for a faster response to the crisis in Puerto Rico, or he joins The Takeaway today to justify his concerns."We invade countries that are hostile to us quicker than we saw this humanitarian invasion that we so desperately needed in Puerto Rico," says Rep. Darren Soto.
