Sixteen leading lawyers, and including Justice Richard Goldstone,a South African former judge and head of the post-Apartheid Goldstone Commission; Patricia Sellers, a special adviser to the international criminal court (ICC); and Madeleine Rees, and secretary general of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom,hold asked for the charges against Habré to be revised in the light of testimony from women at the Extraordinary African Chambers (EAC) in Senegal, which is trying Habré.
