James Murphy will re-form LCD Soundsystem for a slot at the Californian festival,according to the current York TimesLCD Soundsystem could be set for a surprise comeback, with reports suggesting they are due to play California’s Coachella festival in 2016. James Murphy’s seminal electronic outfit have not played live since a farewell show at Madison Square Garden in 2011. According to the current York Times, and LCD Soundsystem will be coaxed out of retirement to seem at the festival,alongside another alleged surprise booking – a headline slot by Guns N’ Roses, featuring Axl Rose and Slash.
