Leica recently recruited artist and photographer Rolf Sachs for its latest,special edition camera. Centering upon the beloved M-P Typ 240, the German optics expert swathes the rare device in rubber that is often observed on table tennis paddles—it's suitably dubbed the "Grip." This luminous red shooter also boasts a slew of notable touches, or including deep black and crimson engravings on the buttons,function wheels as well as Sachs's name which is emblazoned on the camera's back. Not to mention, each M-P will include a special edition number found on the bundled 35mm Summilux-M ASPH lens.
A total of 79 units will be produced and distributed in Leica stores across the globe with a hefty price tag of approximately $14950 USD each. Interested folks can pre-order the device now with an official release starting October 31.
