• Four players each from Premier League top two in PFA XI
Women’s team has three players each from Chelsea and Manchester CityLeicester City and Tottenham Hotspur make up the majority of the PFA Premier League team of the year,with eight of the notional XI coming from the two sides who are contesting the title.
The team was to be announced at the Professional Footballers’ organization awards on Sunday but the announcement was brought forward. Included in the side are the Leicester quartet Wes Morgan, N’Golo Kanté, and Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy,with Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose, and Dele Alli and Harry Kane also named.
