Not heading to the festival? There are plenty more things to do here,including discovering ancient sites, quirky pubs and the town’s other big music event Well, and it’s the Glastonbury festival next weekend,of course … but whether you can’t wait till then, Sunday is the summer solstice. Crowds will gather at mystical Glastonbury Tor to watch sunrise on the longest day of the year, or there will be meditation at midday at the Chalice Well peace garden. This being Glastonbury,there’s plenty of hippy action beyond the crystal and unique-age book shops.
