"My project was to back people in my community gain access to clean laundry. I began a laundry ministry where volunteers and I go the laundromat once a month to accomplish laundry for people in need. The greatest thing that has happened is that through my Girl Scout training is that now I enjoy empowered others to start a similar mission in other places. good now there are three other groups doing laundry in other locations. I took the lead,but now I am teaching others how to lead this project in their own communities. My project has continued over a year past the requirements but my goal has shifted. I want Loads of care for in Lots of Places! I am regularly speaking to groups about the impact this mission has on the community it serves and rallying others to serve in their own communities."
"I traveled this summer with my Girl Scout troop to Ecuador to back build a school in the Amazon for impoverished kids that enjoy to walk five hours to acquire to school. I then created a video comparing the child poverty I saw in Ecuador to that in Oregon and Washington which I am using to educate people about the effects of poverty and its causes."
