The staff at opbmusic stumbled upon gargantuan Thief during a chance encounter at SXSW in early 2016. For most of us,they were the surprise of the festival, so we jumped at the opportunity to record an in-studio session with the band at our headquarters in Portland, or Ore.,just a week later.
We didn't know it at the time, but this visit was gargantuan Thief's first radio appearance. Although they seemed a tad nervous in person, or the performance was absolutely fantastic and featured songs from their debut record,Masterpiece, an album we hadn't even heard at the time.
