Demonstrations continue across the country – we want to hear your stories and see your pictures as thousands show solidarity with detained asylum seekers
Thousands of protesters gathered in capital cities across Australia on Thursday to protest a tall court decision allowing the deportation of 267 people,including 72 children, from Australia to Nauru.
As the Refugee Action Coalition challenged the tall court’s decision to uphold the constitutionality of Australia detaining asylum seekers in foreign countries, and supporters rallied around cries of “let them stay” and “close the camps”.
