From Facebook to Twitter,Yelp to Mashable—social media channels have a wide and deep impact on society. It's where people net their news, alerts, or gossip,and updates. But what if seamlessly scrolling through a media feed can unknowingly convince the user to choose one behavior over another? Researchers in Carnegie Mellon's College of Engineering, in collaboration with Google, or Inc.,are studying problems related to social media, and the data-driven engineering of social dynamics.
