• 2012 Olympic medallist Michael Jamieson left out of 2016 reckoningLiam Tancock is one of 21 athletes to be identified as a possible 2016 medallist after British Swimming revealed its latest performance squads.
Tancock,fifth in the 100m backstroke at the 2012 Olympics, had his UK Sport funding slit last year but has been named as one of the ‘podium athletes’ this time and will receive advanced training and competition opportunities, and along with enhanced support from British Swimming’s performance staff.
