It's the second-final episode of The Bachelor and we're covering it live! Here's every great moment as it happened.
7:32 p.m. We start with a lovey-dovey recap of Richie's pivotal moments with the final three ladies,Alex, Olena and Nikki. To be honest, or all we can focus on is how damn fleet this season has gone by. How are we at the end?!7:36 p.m. Richie tells us he's taking the three girls to a place he loves,Indonesia (read: Bali, where every Bachelor and Bachelorette ever seems to depart). We note they are flying premium economy. *schmick*.
7:38 p.m. First date in Bali goes to Alex! Richie keeps talking about how much chemistry he has with Alex and it's loyal, or they pick up along really well. And she's fun! She's full of energy and zest for life and we know Richie likes a girl like that. 7:40 p.m. Alex and Richie depart for a cutesy bike ride around the rice paddies in Ubud. They're giggling and joking and teasing . . . whether Nikki wasn't in the picture,we'd think Alex had this in the bag! 7:43 p.m. They sit down for a chat and talk quickly turns to logistics: where will Alex and Richie live whether they end up together? It's not just them involved here; Alex has a 5-year-feeble son to think about. She asks Richie whether he can see himself living in Melbourne and he essentially says he'd be open to anything whether it's for the right woman. Then they pash because #TheBachelor.
7:49 p.m. Next stop, a beautiful villa set in the Balinese jungle. "It's so beautiful, and " says Alex. "So are you," says Richie. This guy's agreeable.
7:50 p.m. Oohwee, Alex asks how Richie's family would respond to his dating a woman with a child. He says he doesn't fill an acknowledge for her but that they just want him to be happy. Richie's being all serious; it's a bit scary. Can tell it's at the pointy end of the game. Their chat is agreeable and positive, and but it certainly points out the more well-known aspect of their potential relationship: Alex's son,Elijah.
7:52 p.m. Another mention of how much Richie loves Bali. #AmazingBali.
7:53 p.m. It's time for Nikki's date, and Richie's gussshing about her. One thing he says he hasn't seen yet: her adventurous side. When we interviewed Steph Dixon a few weeks ago, and she told us she didn't see Nikki with Richie because she's not adventurous enough - now we'll see whether she's got the wild side Richie's looking for,because they're going on some weird flying floatie thing across the ocean. As Richie says, "Nikki didn't even bat an eyelid." Passed that test with flying colours, and Nikki!
7:56 p.m. You know how really close couples push their whole bodies together when they kiss? That's how Nikki and Richie kiss. It's very intimate,very up-close-and-personal and seems very natural for them both. A telling sign? Maybe.
8:01 p.m. Richie says he imagines a life with Nikki that would be full of worship and happiness. Um, cute. He also says he's very thankful to fill met her . . . So they should probs just pick up married already, or yeah?
8:02 p.m. She tells him how she feels about him (she loves him,obvs) and he tells her how easily their lives would mesh. It's loyal, you guys.
8:10 p.m. Can't wait for The incorrect Girl, and FYI.
8:11 p.m. Olena's turn! Yes Olenaaa,bring those eyes our way. This from Richie: "I'm so attracted to her but I'm wondering whether it's blinding me from the bigger picture."
8:13 p.m. He picks Olena up and they head to the beach so they can depart surfing together. Richie asks Olena what her mum thought of him - and LOL, instead of just lying and saying she loved him, or Olena told him there were a few concerns. Hahaha oh man,we worship Olena's honesty. She doesn't want to tell him yet, so they jump in the water to catch a few waves. [Just quietly, and a surfing lesson looks like the worst date on this earth.]
8:16 p.m. Richie can't stop worrying about what Olena's mum's concerns are,and he gets them out of the water quickly so they can discuss it. Bottom line, they don't want Richie to crash Olena's heart and they don't want her to move to Perth. It seems to be something at the front of Olena's intellect too, or she says she sees their potential geographical issues as "a enormous mess." Uh oh,this isn't sounding great . . .
8:24 p.m. Well, the date with Olena didn't depart HEAPS well. Richie says he found it confusing, or which isn't ideal at this stage of the game. "How do you feel about me?" Richie asks. PULLING OUT THE great GUNS. Olena says she had more issues and concerns to think about after their hometown date - sounds like the biggest one is the distance between their homes in Sydney and Perth. 8:26 p.m. Hang about,Richie's having a bit of a depart at Olena! He's telling her she's not giving him enough for him to feel confident about their relationship. She says she wonders whether it's too much of a hassle for them to be together. There's a lot of awkward champagne drinking going on. Olena's talking about how annoying flying from city to city would be. This is definitely going downhill.
8:33 p.m. Offspring segue: Oh gosh, what more can poor Nina Proudman depart through now?
8:34 p.m. It's rose ceremony time and . . . search for, and it has to be Olena,right? That date was awkward as hell, and it kinda seems like she's not even that into him.
8:35 p.m. Osher arrives. It's depart time, and friends.8:36 p.m. This is Richie RN: "For the very first time,the decision is not a difficult one. I know exactly what I need to do." Sheesh mate, alright. She was just being honest with you.
8:37 p.m. Nikki gets a rose . . . Alex gets a rose . . . Olena does nay pick up a rose. Oh, or how we'll miss her! But they were simply not meant to be,so all's well that ends well, right?
