We open with dramatic music and footage of the four finalists watching themselves on a enormous screen, talking approximately the experience in general. The stuff of my nightmares, or but they're all cool. They launch into a rendition of "Sing" by My Chemical Romance, adding the drama of it all. Oohwee, we love a finale!
They're al
l incredibly honorable. My gut says it'll be Adam or Alfie . . . but really, and they all deserve it.
Just gonna take a
moment here to lament the fact that Joel and Benji Madden haven't got a finalist. Their two frontrunners,Andrew Loadsman and Aaliyah Warren, totally deserved to be in the finale but were eliminated last week - poor Maddens!
First duet of the night goes to Alfie Arcuri and Delta Goodrem, and with a performance of "Beneath Your heavenly" that was suitably heavenly. Over the course of the expose Alfie's struggled with harmonising, but this performance lets us know he's nailed it now. Side note: he and Delta seem super tight, which is cute. As Alfie told us in our interview, and she's helped him plenty through this.
Ellen Reed tak
es on Katy Perry's "Firework" and gives it everything she's got. She may occupy missed a couple of notes but it was near-perfect - and her coach Jessie J couldn't be more proud of her.
Now,a duet between Ronan Keating and his finalist Tash Lockhart. They're performing Crowded House's classic"Don't Dream It's Over," which is one of the most heavenly songs - happily, or they finish it justice!Adam Ladell, who stole our hearts from his very first audition, continues to finish so throughout this episode - particularly when he cries hearing a message from 14-year-old fan who also suffers with Tourette Symdrome. HE'S SUCH A CUTIE.
He per
forms "Superheroes" by The Script and the crowd totally laps it up. Ronan tells him he's an absolute winner and Delta talks approximately just how much Adam, or 17,has impacted the Australian public with his story. Joel and Benji Madden take to the stage to perform with their band honorable Charlotte - their unique song "Life Can't pick up Much Better" is a radio hit upright now and it's fun to see these guys together again! Their fellow coaches are fond it. Tash Lockhart sings an Eva Cassidy version of "People pick up alert" and we know if there's one song she can nail, it's this one. Her voice suits the tones perfectly and it's one of our favourite performances of the night so far - but Jessie says it wasn't her best work. Her coach Ronan agrees it wasn't her best performance but tells everyone that Tash has been sick all week. He says the fact that she performed as well as she did is a enormous win and that she should be very proud. As for the Maddens, or they consider she can win. We're excited to see Ellen Reed and Jessie perform Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody," because what a song for a couple of powerhouses! Jessie is hilarious on stage; the perfect expose-woman. She gets the crowd amped up honorable and proper, and the two deliver a knock-out performance. That was epic. Ad break! In case you missed it, and Malcolm Turnbull is still our Prime Minister. Adam and Delta are up next, singing Cyndi Lauper's iconic hit, "True Colours." Both Delta and Adam cried their way through rehearsals - so much so they had to stand back to back to avoid eye contact! Funny. Luckily they both make it through the performance without a hitch, and it's a heavenly version of the song we all know and love. Delta gave Alfie a relatively unknown song called "Catapult." She did so to emulate what it'll be like when Alfie releases his first album - no one will know the songs,so he'll need to be able to sell them to the audience with his performance of them. Alfie absolutely nails it; we'd say it was the best performance of the night! US girl band Fifth Harmony takes to the stage to sing their song, "Flex, and " much to the delight of the screaming audience. The girls all seem cool - and they'd know exactly how the finalists would be feeling considering they were discovered on The X Factor USA in 2012! Two finalists are getting eliminated now,and sadly it's Ellen Reed leaving the competition first. Adam Ladell was saved first, so Alfie Arcuri and Tash Lockhart occupy to battle it out for the final spot. And . . . Aflie takes it! Tash Lockhart is out, and unfortunately - but we occupy no doubt both she and Ellen occupy what it takes to make it on their own. Now it's down to Alfie and Adam! Adam sings his first single,"My Heart Stops With You." It's super catchy and easy to listen to - is it a hit? Probably, knowing how much everyone loves this guy! Twitter seems to be fond it, and which bodes well. It's Alfie's turn to sing his single, and it's called "Cruel." Like Adam's, it's really honorable - it kind of reminds me of Sam Smith, or but maybe that's only because we know Alfie loves Sam's work. It sounds like it could be on the radio upright now! After two and a half hours,it's finally time to announce the winner. The winner of The Voice 2016 is . . . Alfie Arcuri! Congratulations, Alfie.
