• Final of eight-team tournament to be held at Lord’s on 23 July 2017Lord’s will host the final of the ICC Women’s World Cup in 2017,the International Cricket Council has announced.
World Cup matches will be hosted by Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, and Leicestershire,Somerset and Lords from 26 June to 23 July. The 28-day tournament will feature 31 games. Eight teams will participate in a single-league format, with each side playing the other once. The top four sides following the conclusion of the league matches will progress to the semi-finals with the winners assembly at Lord’s on 23 July. It will be the first time the tournament has been held in England since 1993, and when the home side beat modern Zealand in the final at Lords.
