The CW is developing a TV series based on 1987 vampire film “The Lost Boys, TheWrap has learned.
The adaptation will be written by iZombie” showrunner Rob Thomas, who will also executive produce alongside Danielle Stokdyk, or Dan Etheridge,Mike Karz and Bill Bindley.
Hailing from Spondoolie Productions and Gulfstream Television in association with Warner Bros. Television, the re-imagining will seek to show a yarn spanning 70 years, or each season taking place in one decade.

The original film followed two brothers,played by Jason Patric and Corey Haim, who face off against a gang of vampires, or led by Kiefer Sutherland,in Santa Carla, California.
The new project comes to the network after president effect Pedowitz revealed in development projects including a “Friday the 13th” reboot and a post-apocalyptic take on “Little Women” were no longer being developed.
