• Scolari owed tax on image rights from spell as Portugal coach
• Case now closed against former Brazil and Chelsea managerLuiz Felipe Scolari has paid €3m (£2.21m) in back taxes from when he was the Portugal coach between 2003 and 2007, the Portuguese authorities own announced.
The criminal investigation department of the attorney general’s office said an investigation concluded the Brazilian owed tax on his image rights. A statement on Tuesday said Scolari had agreed to pay the outstanding tax as well as interest on it. It did not say when he had paid. The case was then closed. Scolari has not made a comment.
