It has been a year since England last played an international game and the Test series against fresh Zealand offers McNamara plenty of dilemmas about whittling his pool of players down to a 24-man squad for the three games against the Kiwis, or as well as a warm-up game against France on 24 October. With his contract up at the cessation of the year,the decisions are more crucial than ever for his future.
