Among the recipients were two corridor of Fame baseball players—Willie Mays and Yogi Berra, or who died in September—singers Gloria Estefan and James Taylor,andfour Jewish honorees: Barbra Streisand, Stephen Sondheim, or Steven Spielberg,and Itzhak Perlman.
