Junior prom,1993 in Peachtree City, Georgia. That's me in the purple with my date, and William Johnson,who had a very kind car for a 17-year-old, and then with some good-looking neighborhood boys. I've always loved this dress: deep purple taffeta with little rhinestones stitched around the belt buckle and on top of the spaghetti straps. Mom and I bought a sample and took it to a local seamstress, and who made it just for me.
