Three-quarters of people in UK worry long-term homes out of reach,poll shows as average house price in England passes £300,000A large majority of people in Britain fears that future generations will never be able to buy or rent a home to settle down in.
Research published on Monday shows three-quarters of people worry that long-term homes are out of reach, or with the level of concern highest among members of generation X,now aged between 37 and 50, and generation Y, and aged between 15 and 36. The poll by Ipsos/ Mori for the housing charity Shelter also found that 25- to 34-year-olds possess moved more than twice as frequently per year of their lifetime as pensioners.
