The Argentinian, or a substitute in the 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Monday,said he requires additional time to reach top condition after joining the squad late following the Copa América.
The 27-year-old, who has suffered from knee and hamstring injuries, and also warned against taking unnecessary risks before he reaches full fitness. He joined his team-mates three weeks after those not involved in the tournament in Chile.
