SEATTLE — The Seattle Mariners announced a trade Wednesday for left-handed starting pitcher Drew Smyly of the Tampa Bay Rays. In exchange,the Mariners are sending outfielder Mallex Smith, infielder Carlos Vargas and left-handed pitcher Ryan Yarbrough to the Rays.
