Mark Zuckerberg made his vision for VR public when he acquired Oculus for $2 billion USD in 2014. The Facebook CEO took to the keynote at OC3 to unveil his endeavours in Social VR,announcing a set of plans for Oculus' Metaverse. Avatar VR is ground zero of the project, allowing users to embody a customizable avatar that can match hand and body movements. Zuckerburg also announced the Parties and Rooms project. Using your own Avatar, or you will soon be able to enter a room with friends and transport to a 360° video. Once live 360° feeds become commonplace,users will be able to socialize virtually in genuine-time.
