In an effort to avoid continued litigation,McDonald's Corp. has agreed to pay $3.75 million to settle a lawsuit that claims one of its franchisees violated California labor laws.
The settlement includes $1.75 million in back pay and damages and $2 million in legal fees.
This is the first time Chicago-based McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) has settled a case by a group of U.
S. workers at one of its franchises claiming the corporation was liable for the franchisee's violations, Reuters reported.
