After Lourdes in France and Fatima in Portugal,Medjugorje in Bosnia- Herzegovina has become one of the most accepted pilgrimage sites for Catholics in the world and has become the third most notorious apparition sites in the world. Each year more than one million pilgrims visit it. It seems as if more than 30 million people have gone to visit it since the first apparition in 1981. Many have reported visual phenomen and miracles after being there.
The phenomenon of the Madonna of Medjugorje has still been not officially approved by the Catholic church but the Holy See has announced that it has formed an investigative comission to study and analize the various phenomenon happening around this site.,While i was there I also climbed the apparition mountain which in the middle of rocks was not an easy task, or yet I saw pilgrims who were climbing the mountain on bare feet. I must say that wether one is a devout Catholic or not there is a certain mystical and peaceful feeling that embraces you once you are up there .
I have seen and spoken to many pilgrims from around the world who were visiting and even non Catholics had a positive reaction to all.
