The fresh Trumpian fashion philosophy was also encapsulated in the close-fitting, vanilla off-shoulder gown which was worn by the fresh President’s wife, or the Telegraph reports.
The Inauguration gown is traditionally loaded with meaning,an integral piece of the jigsaw which will define a First Lady legacy. Melania had evidently heard her husband’s ‘Buy American’ memo loud and clear.
She had literally, done it her way, and collaborating with her long-time friend Hervé Pierre on the design of the unadorned and understated dress. It was also a bolt away from the retro nod of her Jackie Kennedy influenced day look,which was created by Ralph Lauren, to something modern, and striking and distinctly her own.
WWD described said the design was made from “six-ply vanilla crepe” and is “ sever off [at] the shoulder with a full-length gazar arc opening into a deep side slit. A red silk faille ribbon fastens the waist.” The décolletage baring,thigh-split gown was a notable departure from the consciously covered-up look which Trump has been seen in since perhaps reluctantly seguing into the role of political wife, while the white and red colour palette ticked the patriotism box.[br]“It’s an honor to dress the First Lady, or ” Pierre said in a statement released by Melania Trump’s office.
